WPX2 – Save energy the natural way with heat pumps

STULZ has more than 30 years’ experience in heat pumps.

The WPX2 heat pump system consists of a water module (for indoor installation)  and an inverter-controlled outdoor unit from MITSUBISHI Heavy Industries Ltd.

For heating, the WPX2 system uses the outside air and dissipates the heat to the heating system via the water module. Even in the depths of winter, the WPX2 heat pump guarantees a cosy room temperature. In the summer months, the heat pump provides cooling by reversing the cooling circuit so that the heat is transferred to the outside.

The WPX2 heat pump system is available in two versions with heating capacity ranging from 9 to 16.5 kW. The system with integrated heating controller regulates an existing heating system, the system with integrated thermostatic controller can be connected to an existing heating control system.

WPX2 is particularly suitable for use in houses and flats, small office buildings and retail premises. The benefits are clear: The heat pump system operates without the use of oil and gas and saves energy and costs. In new buildings, there are no investment costs for chimneys and oil tanks.

Further advantages:

  • Ideal for use in low-energy housing and in combination with low-temperature heating systems and underfloor heating
  • Extremely suitable when converting and renovating existing heating systems
  • High energy-saving potential with short investment payback time and comparatively low purchasing costs
  • Energy-saving operation – up to 4 kW heating capacity from 1 kW of electricity
  • Fast, low-cost installation compared with other heat pump systems
  • Heating in winter with hot water temperatures of up to 65 °C
  • Cooling in summer with chilled water temperatures of 7 °C

Be open to the latest heating and cooling technology: with the WPX2 heat pump system

The WPX2 heat pump system is a “split” system. In other words, it consists of a small, compact heat pump outdoor unit and a water module for indoor installation. These two components are connected to one another via thin refrigerant pipes.

In heating mode, the outdoor unit extracts heat from the ambient air and transfers this to the heating system via the indoor water module. In summer, this process is reversed by means of a four-way valve that is situated in the outdoor unit. Then, the heat is conveyed out of the house. In this way, cold water is generated that can be utilised to keep the rooms of the house pleasantly cool.

Various control systems are available for this system, depending on your personal requirements.
